A TEENAGER who took a car without he owner's permission as well as breached a restraining order has appeared at a court in Cornwall.
Connor Michael Fox, aged 19, of no fixed address, appeared in front of magistrates at Bodmin Magistrates' Court on Thursday, October 13 on one count of harassment - breach of a restraining order after acquittal, two counts of taking a motor vehicle without the owners consent, and one count of using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance.
The offences took place between May and September of 2022 in St Austell, with Fox first taking the car, namely a grey Fiat 500, between May 2 and May 4 2022, without the consent of the owner, or other lawful authority.
Fox took the car again between June 17 & 19 2022 before being found to be driving without third-party insurance on Lilybottom Lane in Hitchin, Stevenage on Thursday, June 23.
Then, on Tuesday, September 13, Fox was found to be in the company of a person which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order imposed by Bodmin Magistrates Court on August 15 2022.
Fox pleaded guilty to all of the offences.
During his sentencing, he was made the subject of a community order under which he must carry out unpaid work for 80 hours within the next twelve months.
The court noted that the work will be supervised by a responsible officer.
Fox was also disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months and had his driving record endorsed.
He was also made to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95.
The court also noted how Fox's guilty pleas had been taken into account when imposing the sentence.
