Visitors to a music and theatre venue in Falmouth will be able to enjoy an even more comfortable visit after it received hand-made cushions as a thank you.
Princess Pavilion received the brand-new cushions created by Falmouth Methodist Stitch Craft Group members as a thank-you for letting the stitch group use the venue every Monday afternoon for the past year.
The Stitch and Craft Group decided they wanted to show their appreciation by replacing many of the cushions within the Garden Room seating area by utilising their skills and their passion for sewing.
Jean Northey, from the Stitch Craft Group, approached the Pavilion with her idea back in August.
Jean and the other members handed over the 18 new cushions to the Princess Pavilion during their weekly Monday meet-up.
“We noticed that there were very few chairs with cushions on, so we decided to make some,” said Jean.
“We would like to say how much we appreciate the Princess Pavilion; they have made us feel ever so welcome.”
The Princess Pavilion is no stranger to being home to community stitch, knitting, and art groups, as the café becomes a bustling creative hub for many organisations on a daily basis.
Venue Manager Colin Leggo said “It’s wonderful to see so many different groups utilising our space in a variety of different ways.
“From the moment you walk in the door, something is happening and there’s a unique buzz about the place.”
Regarding the new cushions, Colin added: “We are ever so blessed to have been given such a kind offering from the Falmouth Methodist Church Stitch Craft Group.
"I know visitors will appreciate their hard work, when sat in our café, for many years to come”.
