Crossing the River Tamar to play Plymstock Albion Oaks in Counties 1 Western West, the third-placed Pirates Amateurs won well at the Horsham Playing Fields, writes Phil Westren.
Try-scorers for the Pirates were Eddy Hall, Rhodri McAtee, Jonny Badcock, Sam Coogan, and Tom Nicholas. Rhys Brownfield kicked three conversions and a penalty.
Man of the match was young replacement Tyler Kearey.
Speaking after the game, Pirates Amateurs’ head coach Murray Westren said: "This was a very good away win against a big physical side.
"We played very smartly and managed the game excellently to earn a well-deserved week off before we return to the Mennaye for a third versus fourth clash against Tiverton on Saturday week.”
