A public consultation is to take place over proposals to build up to 35 social need homes in land on the edge of Mylor Bridge.
Gilbert and Goode Ltd in association with Ocean Housing want to build affordable homes at Little Greystones Farm.
The homes would be a mixture of social rent and shared ownership after the land was identified as being suitable for development in the village’s Neighbourhood Development Plan.
The public consultation meeting will take place on January 14, 2023 at the Tremayne Hall, Mylor Bridge between 2pm and 5pm.
Following that there will be a design review and planning pre-application consultation at the end of January 2023. A final planning submission is anticipated for late Spring 2023.
The design will be driven by housing needs, community engagement, landscape, environmental and ecological constraints and considerations as well as the local NDP, county and national design guidance.
An application to build 15 affordable homes in Flushing is currently going through the planning system at Cornwall Council.
Cornwall Council is proposing to build the homes on land off Tregew Road, Flushing after the Cornwall Council’s Housing Delivery and Development team were tasked with delivering new affordable homes in areas with local housing need.
