POLICE have launched an investigation after an 'incident' in Bodmin left a man hospitalised with 'serious injuries.'
Police were called at around 1am this morning (Dec 15) to Ringway Flats in Bodmin, after receiving reports of an altercation taking place in the area.
Upon their arrival, units discovered a man in his 20s who had sustained serious injuries.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains.
According to Devon and Cornwall Police, a woman in her 20s is currently in custody in connection to this matter, and an investigation has been launched.
Devon and Cornwall Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area and say they would like to hear from anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell camera footage between 1-1.45am that could aid the investigation.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "A police investigation has been launched after an incident in Bodmin resulted in a man being hospitalised.
"Police were called at around 1.30am today (Thursday 15 December) to Ringway Flats in Bodmin, following reports of an altercation taking place in the area.
"Units attended and located a man in his 20s who had sustained serious injuries; he was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains.
"A woman in her 20s is currently in police custody in connection to this matter, and an investigation has been launched as police attempt to piece together the circumstances surrounding this incident.
"Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area and would like to hear from anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell camera footage between 1-1.45am that could aid the investigation.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact police via our website here or by calling 101, quoting log number 53 of 15/12/22."
