Ryanair has announced a new route in and out of Cornwall will launch this summer.
Starting in June, there will be twice-weekly flights between Newquay and Edinburgh, via Cornwall Airport Newquay.
These will begin on June 4 and run every Wednesday and Sunday until September 27.
The new route adds to Ryanair’s five existing routes to and from Alicante, Faro, Malaga, Dublin and London.
The airline said there would be more than 30 flights provided over the summer, supporting more than 90 jobs.
Flights for the new Edinburgh route can be booked from today via Ryanair.com Ryanair’s Dara Brady said: “Ryanair is pleased to announce even more growth for Cornwall with the addition of our new Edinburgh route for summer ’23.
“The addition of this new route grows our Cornwall summer ’23 offering to six routes and over 30 weekly flights.
“Ryanair is driving Cornwall’s economic recovery through our delivery of year-round tourism, regional investment and support of 90 local jobs.”
It is the latest new route announced for Cornwall’s airport in recent months.
In November Eastern Airways announced it would be launching a daily service between Cornwall Airport Newquay and East Midlands Airport in time for the February half term break, in addition to expanding its programme of flights from Cornwall to London Gatwick and Humberside, due to demand.
