A pantomime group in Cornwall have announced the dates for their 2023 production of a classic fairytale.
Flushing's pantomime group will be perfoming its own version of Jack and The Beanstalk and will run from February 7 until the 11 at St Peter’s Church in the village.
Under the direction of Sue Lightfoot, the cast will tell the tale of Jack, a poor boy who trades the family cow for a handful of magic beans, which eventually grows into a massive, towering beanstalk reaching up into the clouds. As Jack climbs the beanstalk, he finds himself in the castle of a very large and very unfriendly giant.
Tickets are on sale now at Flushing Village Stores.
The Tuesday ticket price of £10 includes a pasty, while Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are priced at £7.50 as picnic nights where audience members can bring their own food.
Saturday, February 11 is the seated evening and the last night, also priced at £7.50 per ticket.
As is tradition, the panto group will give a preview performance to the pupils of Flushing School, with all proceeds generated from the week going to Flushing School, as they have done since the group was established since 1985.
