Plans for new holiday accommodation in Perranporth and Clay Country would include changes to a golf club and extending a caravan park.
Perranporth Golf Club wants to replace eight holiday caravans with seven new vans and two holiday lodges.
In a design and access statement the club explains: “The holiday accommodation is an important part of the club’s overall financial strategy.
“The existing caravans are reaching the end of their useful life and need to be replaced with more modern accommodation. The lodges have proved extremely successful and popular with both golfing and non-golfing tourists.
“The club is looking to invest in new accommodation to improve its offer to tourists with the ambition to increase the revenue and profit generated from the accommodation.”
Under the plans the club’s laundry and service building will also be extended as the current building is “significantly undersized to cope with the number of units and laundry demands”.

Plans have also been submitted seeking pre-application advice on proposals to extend a caravan park in Clay Country.
Manor Park Caravan Park in Resugga Green Lane, Penwithick wants to add around 13 new caravans.
Documents submitted with the application state that the 13 static caravans would be sold on a private holiday ownership basis. It states that the holiday caravans would be separate from those that are used as residential homes.
The land identified for the extension has previously been used for various purposes, including for dog kennels.
Applicants say that the proposals would include regeneration of the land including “significant landscaping”.
It is stated that any full planning application, if submitted, would be for the change of use of the land so that it could be used for the additional caravans. To view the pre-application search for PA23/00079/PREAPP on Cornwall Council’s planning portal.
