POLICE have arrested a man in his 50s after a stash of weapons was recovered at an address in Cornwall last night.
Police received a report of an aggressive male at around 10:20pm on Sunday, February 12 and attended an address on the Kinsman Estate in Bodmin, although the suspect had left the scene prior to their arrival.
While at the address, police found a significant amount of cash, suspected drugs, and several weapons during their search.
The seized items included a Taser disguised as a torch, which was discovered amongst other weapons.
The man in his 50s was arrested on charges of possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply, money laundering, and possession of a firearm. He remains in police custody.
In an update posted on to its social media page, Bodmin Police said: "Bodmin Police seized a number of weapons while responding to a call last night.
"Police were called at around 10.20pm last night to the Kinsman Estate in Bodmin following reports of violence.
"It was reported that a male had been behaving aggressively but he had left prior to police arrival.
"Whilst at the address, officers located and seized a quantity of cash, suspected drugs and a number of weapons – including a Taser disguised as a torch.
"A man in his 50s from Bodmin has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offence weapon and possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply, money laundering and possession of a firearm.
"He remains in police custody at this time."
