A CARE home in Falmouth has ensured love is in the air this past Valentine's Day with a special party for residents to celebrate the occasion.

Falmouth Court care home, in Falmouth, was filled with flowers, cards, and chocolates for its celebration of St Valentine’s Day.

Staff and residents celebrated the day of love by decorating the home and holding a special Valentine's party.

The residents, friends, and families enjoyed a musical performance from a local pianist and singer followed by a delicious high tea.

General Manager, Haley Reeve-Larson, said: "We’ve all had a lovely day decorating the home and making gifts for each other and for our loved ones.

"Lots of our residents were able to see their loved ones either in person or via video call.

"We’ve had a whole range of treats and Valentine themed fun and we have enjoyed every moment of it!"

The care home claims its 'varied' life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.

Falmouth Court is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers,  and says it is committed to delivering high-quality care across its care homes and hospitals. Falmouth Court provides residential care, dementia care, and respite care.
