A GARDEN scoiety in Cornwall has announced a regular presenter on BBC will be giving its March lectures.
The Cornwall Garden Society’s (CGS) March lectures will be given by Nick Bailey who is an award-winning TV presenter, best-selling author, garden designer and speaker.
A regular presenter on BBC2’s Gardeners’ World, his film about plants associated with Shakespeare won Best TV Programme at the 2016 Garden Media Guild Awards.
Nick has also appeared on BBC2’s Great British Garden Revival and Big Dreams, Small Spaces as well as on BBC1’s The One Show, BBC Radio 4’s Food Programme and BBC Radio 2.
He writes regular columns for BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine and Garden News. He is the author of Chelsea Physic Garden – A Companion Guide, 365 Days of Colour in Your Garden and Revive Your Garden.
Nick has designed and managed gardens in the UK, Spain, South Africa and Australia. His first Main Avenue Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2016 gained him extensive plaudits from the press and a Silver Gilt medal.
365 Days of Colour will be his subject on Tuesday 14th March at 7.30pm at the Mylor Building, Truro College – whilst Revive Your Garden will be his topic on Wednesday 15th March at 2.30pm at Penventon Park Hotel in Redruth.
These lectures are free for CGS members. Non-members are welcome to attend to find out more about the Society and donations are gratefully received.
The CGS is a charity that exists to encourage and improve the science, art and practice of horticulture in all its branches; share knowledge about gardening and Cornwall’s rich garden heritage, and conserve the county’s natural environment.
The Society is affiliated to the RHS and has enjoyed the patronage of HRH The former Prince of Wales.
