Staff arriving to work at Subway Falmouth last week were shocked to find the building closed and the locks changed.
The building at 12 Church Street was taken back on February 21 by the landlord, according to a note on the door by Beacon Enforcements.
A notice of re-entry and forfeiture was posted in the shop door and windows by the enforcement agents, which said they had re-entered the premises and changed the locks on behalf of the landlords.
It said the lease between MFH Enterprises Ltd and A Reuben and E Reuben and DCD trustees had been 'determined pursuant to the terms of the lease'.
“No person or persons may enter the property without the express written permission of the landlord and anyone entering or attempting to enter or recover possession of the property without such permission or court order may be committing a criminal offence and may be the subject of criminal and also civil proceedings," adds the notice.
