CAMBORNE Rugby Football Club is delighted to announce the beginning of a significant three-year sponsorship deal with long-term club supporters CLX.
The sponsorship marks an exciting time in the club’s history and will support the development and improvement of facilities, players resources for performance and community work.
In recognition of this, the CLX logo will sit proudly on the front of the newly designed 2023/24 season jersey. The recently refurbished grandstand at the iconic Recreation Ground will also be unveiled as ‘The CLX Stand’.
CLX is an international consultancy working with businesses across the private and public sectors on improved customer experiences and front-end transformations. With offices in the United Kingdom, Australia, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region, CLX says it has worked with some of the biggest retailers across the globe.
Notably, the sponsorship is a testament to the ongoing sense of community and support at Camborne. Tony Chapman, CLX Founder and CEO, played as scrum half for Camborne & Cornwall during the 1990s. The Chapman family has been associated with the Cherry & Whites for more than 50 years.
“I think that playing sport, being in a team and having a community are all fundamental building blocks for young people. I’m really grateful that through this sponsorship I can give back to something that I felt gave so much to me,” said Tony.
The sponsorship package from CLX will help sustain the Club over the next three years and contribute important funds to the following priority areas:
Facility Development – completing the Renovating the Recreation Ground project which will provide superb changing and playing conditions and ongoing investment in the existing facilities.
Performance – assisting with the costs incurred for coaching, travel, pitch side physio and first aid and officials incurred for the 1st XV following their promotion to the National Leagues and with those of the 2nd and Women’s XVs.
Community – supporting the ongoing provision of Age Grade Rugby for more than 250 boys and girls at the Club and with coach & volunteer development.
Richard Simeons, Honorary Secretary speaking on behalf of the Camborne RFC Board expressed ‘our grateful thanks to Tony and CLX for the very generous support.’’
‘’Everyone at the Club is looking forward to working in partnership with Tony and his team during what promises to be an extremely exciting period in the Club’s history’’ he added.
