A 76-year-old woman charged with breaching a restraining order forbidding her from contacting her neighbours has elected trial by jury after denying it.
Barbera Jean Shirley Minns, of Daveys Close, Falmouth was forbidden from contacting her neighbours Adele Richards and Gary Authers through the restraining order granted by Bodmin Magistrates’ Court on July 11 last year.
Minns appeared at Truro Magistrates Court yesterday (March 8) charged with breaking that order on three occasions through harassment and breach of the restraining order.
The charges are that on July 11, 2022 at Falmouth she contacted the couple when forbidden to do so through a court order.
She is also charged that on August 3, 2022 at Falmouth in the County of Cornwall without reasonable excuse, she made contact with Adele Richards and entered the curtilage of 15 Daveys Close which she was prohibited from doing by a restraining order.
She is also charged that on August 4, 2022 at Falmouth without reasonable excuse made contact with Adele Richards which she was prohibited from doing by a restraining order.
Minns pleaded not guilty to all three charges and elected trial by jury.
She was granted unconditional bail and sent for trial at Truro Crown Court on April 14.
