Fundraising has begun for a three-year-old little boy in Cornwall after the sad and sudden death of his young mother this week.

The JustGiving page has been set up for three-year-old Albie, the son of Sophie Cook from the Falmouth and Penryn area, who passed away on Sunday (March, 12) after a cardiac arrest.

Shellie Prynn, who set up the page, said: “This little boy meant the absolute world to Sophie Cook, and I know no amount of money will ever help Sophie’s poor family at this very sad time, but I am reaching out to try and maybe help Albie for his future to help towards things I know that Sophie would have loved to have done for him.”

Almost £4,000 has been raised in the first five hours since the page was created.

Shellie added: “Sophie had her whole life ahead of her and was a truly beautiful soul, she was the best mummy, daughter, stepdaughter, sister, granddaughter, aunty and cousin.

“She was so loved by all her friends and even by people she didn’t know so well.

“Sophie would want her little boy to have everything in life and to enjoy all those moments with him but because she sadly won’t be able to.

"I am reaching out to everyone who knew, loved or just would like to help donate towards her special little boy.”
