One of the main roads in Pool has been closed following a serious collision between a van and a pedestrian this afternoon (Monday, March 13).
The police were called to a report of the collision outside Morrisons on Agar Road at 3.30pm.
The road is now closed; however, traffic is said to be coping well.
Emergency services are at the scene and an air ambulance has been called.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Devon and Cornwall Police were called to a vehicle collision between a van and pedestrian at 3.30pm this afternoon.
“Emergency services are at the scene, and there is one serious injury. The road is now shut and will remain closed for some time.
“The incident is ongoing.”
The road remains closed at 6.15pm.
The traffic monitoring system INRIX said: “A3047 Agar Road both ways closed due to a serious accident between The Plume of Feathers Pub and The Railway Inn Pub. Traffic is coping well. Accident near to Morrisons.”
