Two Cornish gastropubs have been named among the top 50 in the UK for 2023, according to the travel site Big 7 Travel.
St Tudy Inn in Bodmin was ranked in 20th place on the list, whilst The Foxes Revenge in Newquay was in 46th.
The list was determined from a combined score of reader suggestions throughout the year, online user reviews and Big 7 Travel's editorial team.
Having been in existence for a couple of years now, the list is looking out for those establishments that went above and beyond just ordinary pub grub.

What did Big 7 Travel have to say about the gastropubs?
Speaking about The Foxes Revenge Big 7 Travel said: "This cute ‘n’ charming pub is set inside an old Farmhouse on Carvynick Park, with all sorts of tasty bites to eat on the menu.
"Dig into a proper old-school breakfast or swing by after a stroll with your dog for some dinner. The food here is a pleasant mix of British dishes (pot pies with buttery mash) and global influences, such as salt cod fritters or a lamb kofta."
The Foxes Revenge has also been well-received on Tripadvisor, with a 4/5 rating from 427 reviews.
Meanwhile, St Tudy Inn is also well-rated on Tripadvisor, with a 4.5/5 score from 810 reviews.
Speaking on the Bodmin establishment, Big 7 Travel said: "Hightail it to the beautiful Cornish village of St. Tudy to one of the top gastropubs in the UK, for simple, rustic cuisine, real ales and fine wines.
"Menus evolve with the seasons, making the most of local Cornish ingredients. Winter dishes include Cadgwith Bay ray wing with brown shrimp and caper butter, and for summer there’s fresh monkfish with saffron."
On its website, St Tudy Inn says that is dishes celebrate the "finest seasonal produce from the surrounding area".
