Stelrad (www.stelrad.com) sought to uncover the most picturesque towns and villages to visit this spring according to Instagram.
To determine how picturesque each location is, each town/village was analysed on Instagram utilising hashtag data to find the most photographed village by searching for the name, the name + location, the name + country and the name + town/village. A combined total hashtag count was applied.
The most tagged towns/villages were ranked, highlighting the most picturesque town/village to visit this spring from highest to lowest.
Whitby in North Yorkshire was crowned the UK’s prettiest destination with more than 1.4 million Instagram hashtags, while North Yorkshire overall has the most picturesque towns and villages to explore with a total of seven out of 82, followed by Cornwall and Devon with six each.
