The owners of three out of control and "dangerous" Huskies have been ordered by a court to keep them under control or face having them destroyed.
Truro magistrates granted the order against Sam and Jamie Cooke of Plain An Gwarry, Redruth following a complaint from a member of the public.
The order was made on May 3 about the three Husky dogs Ditto, Cooper and Mika.
The magistrates named the Cookes as the owners of the dogs which were not kept under control and were deemed dangerous.
The complainant wanted the dogs either kept under control or destroyed. It is not known what prompted the complaint.
The orders states that the dogs Ditton, Cooper and Mika be kept under proper control when in a public area or a place to which the public have access or permission to be by being kept on a 1.5 metre length lead and, if exercised off lead, wear a suitable and appropriate sized Baskerville muzzle.
Their property and "its curtilage" will have to made secure within seven days of the order so the dogs can't escape and until then they will have to remain inside or tied up until it's done to stop them escaping.
Anyone else in charge of the dogs will also have to comply with the order.
They would also have to notify any new owners of the order if they decied to get rid of them and notify the police and locak authority within five days of the transfer.
