Dogs will be banned from 14 beaches in Cornwall during certain hours of the day, as of this Monday.
Early restrictions come in on 11 of the Duchy’s beaches from May 15, while three others have an all-year-round ban.
It is part of Cornwall Council on beaches that are subject to a Public Spaces Protection Order. Other privately owned beaches may have their own local restrictions in force.
The early restrictions are placed on those beaches that have Blue Flag and Seaside Awards, due to the requirements of having such a status.
In addition there are three protected wildlife areas that are subject to individual restrictions.
Many more beaches will then come under the same restrictions from July 1, lasting until August 31.
Before then, dogs will not be allowed on the following beaches between 10am and 6pm, from Monday (May 15) until September 30:
Carbis Bay Beach, Carbis Bay
