Plans for a brand new car park in Flushing to alleviate the current parking nightmare in the village have gone on display as part of a public consultation.
The proposals for a new car park for Flushing are ready for public consultation and the plans are currently on display for people to see at Flushing Village Club.
People can also complete an online questionnaire to share their views at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WMWM6KX.
For those who have any question about the proposals or would like to chat about the plans, there will be a public consultation at Flushing Village Club on Saturday, May 20 between 12-2pm.
Last year at a public meeting about the plans, people heard from landscape architect Mike Hawes from Mei Loci about the design of the car park which would occupy a field near the Falmouth Boat Company yard at the end of its access road.
He told the meeting the car park would be constructed of a 'cellular retention system' made out of recycled plastics and be located at the bottom of the field with room for 100 spaces.

Parking problems have been growing in the village for many years with a number of car parking sites already rejected and the sheep field seen as the last throw of the dice.
At the meeting concerns were raised about the construction of a car park in an area of outstanding natural beauty and who would be able to use it, whether it would be just visitors, locals or both.
