SEARCH and rescue teams in Cornwall responded to a shout on Sunday for a vessel which had become grounded, shortly before rescuing six people.
The initial call came in for a vessell which had become aground at Sunny Corner, near Truro.
Upon arriving at the scene, the single occupant of the vessel had supplies and was happy to wait until the tide had flooded. However, another call in, this time for a vessel which had run aground with six people in need of assistance.
A hire boat was located and specialist teams were deployed to assist with the mud rescue.
Having recovered all of the occupants, the team dropped them to shore to waiting coastguard officers.
In an update posted on its social media page, St Agnes Search and Rescue Team said: "This afternoon we were called to a vessel aground, Sunny Corner, near Truro.
"On scene, one vessel was located with one person on board. He had provisions and was happy to stay until the tide had flooded. However, another call came in, it was apparent that another vessel was also stuck and the occupants in need of assistance.
"A hire boat was located around 200 meters from shore with six persons on board.
"St Agnes Coastguard Search & Rescue Team, Falmouth Lifeboat and Full Time Duty Coastguard Officer CR01 were also tasked to assist.
"Specialist Coastguard mud rescue technicians were deployed to rescue the occupants. Over teo evolutions, they were recovered to the ILB and dropped back to shore to waiting Coastguard Officers.
"If you spot anyone in danger at the coast, dial 999 and ask for COASTGUARD."
