The newly saved Skinner's Brewery has announced its official re-opening date just months after the business went under.

Skinner's was taken over in January by local brewer Goodh Brewing Co who has announced it will be moving its operation from The Old Print Works on The Leats to Skinner's Brewery on Newham Road.

Announcing the reopening on its Facebook page Skinner's Brewery said: "Skinner's Brewery & Goodh Brewing Company are joining forces to bring you the ultimate venue for beer, food, music & events.

"Stay tuned & make sure you follow our pages for more information over the coming weeks

"See you at the bar

In a post on Facebook, the Goodh Brewing Co, owned by Louis Simpson, announced the date when the brewery will be reopening.

"We are pleased to announce that The Old Print Works we will be relocating to Skinner's Brewery on Newham Road," the post said.

"This does mean The Old Print Works will close on the weekend of June 17-18 BUT it will reopen on Saturday July 1 at Skinners.

"We would like to say a huge thank you to all our amazing customers for all their support over the years & we can not wait to see you at Newham Road.

"In the meantime you can still visit us for food & beer at The Leats so don't worry."

The new owner of Skinner's Brewery has vowed to continue brewing its best-known beers – and is creating two new jobs to make it happen.

Indian Queens-based Goodh Brewing Co, which opened its first Taproom in Truro, will be brewing at the Newham Industrial Estate, the home of Betty Stogs and Skinner's other well known beers.

It’s not just Betty we’ll be brewing though, they have announced they will be bringing all the Skinner’s much loved beers back including PennyComeQuick, Cornish Knocker, Ginger Tosser and so on.

It was announced in January that Skinner's had been purchased by a mystery buyer, subject to contract.

It was after the brewery entered administration in September last year, announced in a shock statement on Facebook.
