An operational warship will come to Falmouth during this month’s Armed Forces weekend and will allow the public to come on board to take a tour of its upper deck.
HMS Richmond is one of 12 Dule Class Type 23 Frigates and is based in Portsmouth and Devonport.
The ships were designed to deal with the Soviet submarine threat – however, since the fall of communism throughout the 1990s, the frigates have proven their versatility by dealing with virtually every mission imaginable in the four corners of the globe.
