A Cornwall restaurant has ranked inside the top 50 best in the UK list at the Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards 2023.
Paul Ainsworth at No.6 in Padstow featured in 33rd place on the list which demonstrated a huge uptick in positions from 79th place last year.
Additionally, it was the county's only representative inside the top 100.
The top 100 as well as winners of other prizes were announced on Monday, June 12 at a ceremony held at The Hurlingham Club in London by Restaurant.
James Healey, UK Head of On-Trade for Estrella Damm, said: “Estrella Damm has always been proud to support the National Restaurant Awards and each year we are amazed at the array of incredible talent, who are all fully deserving of this recognition of being the very best in the UK.
"We are honoured to share our passion for brewing with the best restaurants in the UK, who also clearly share our devotion to quality and taste in all that they do. We hope this list encourages everyone to get out and support each and every one of these restaurants and join us in celebrating the success of the industry.”

What did the awards say about Paul Ainsworth at No.6?
Much praise was heaped upon Ainsworth and his wife Emma by the awards body for their "eponymous fine dining restaurant", which has also been well-received on Tripadvisor with a score of 5/5 from over 3,000 reviews.
They added: "The Michelin-starred restaurant, located in a Georgian townhouse, has built a reputation for its fun approach to fine dining, serving modern British food with a focus on Cornish produce.
"Ainsworth is a playful character and someone who is keen to bring something new to the table, as it were.
"A dish of cod comes with a seaweed ‘quaver’, while his dish ‘All of the pigeon’ features a pain au chocolat as an accompaniment. A chocolate vol au vent for dessert, meanwhile, comes with a caramel made from ceps for a more measured sweetness."
Additionally, they described the dining room itself as decorated with "bright, colourful artwork".
