A COLLECTION of gardens of Cornwall are collaborating with artists in the local area to raise money for a local charity.
The Great Gardens of Cornwall, a collection of the best-known, largest, most historically and horticulturally important gardens in Cornwall, is collaborating with local artists in a bid to raise money for the Cornwall Community Foundation.
The Great Art Auction exhibition is now open for public viewing, and the online auction is live, ahead of the auction at Lemon Street Market Gallery.
The local artists include Lizzie Black, Andrew Tozer, Rob Rimmington, Nicky Walker, Mary Jago, Kate Cambridge, Lorna Tremayne, Susan Nathan and Carol O’Toole. Each artist will draw from their unique styles, using various formats to recreate the individual vistas.
With the money Cornwall Community Foundation receive, small grants are awarded to grassroots, front line, volunteer-led organisations who are making a positive impact in their area.
The money helps to overcome challenges of disadvantage, exclusion and poverty, for all ages.
The exclusive collection of art will be exhibited at Lemon Street Market from June 13-20 from 9am-5pm (closed on Sunday 18th), before culminating in a charity auction on Tuesday, June 20.
Doors to the auction open at 6.30pm.
