Anyone waiting for the 12.45pm Helston Town service bus today were left sorely disappointed after the vehicle managed to get stuck trying to go round a tight corner.
The first indication that anything was up was when people spotted the red #GCB38 get wedged trying to take the corner from Meneage Street into Wendron Street.
The incident happened right outside the BetFred betting shop where the bus got itself hitched on the railings at around 11.30am.
At first Go Cornwall Bus tweeted: "We are sorry to inform you that the #GCB38 service from Sainsbury's Helston at 1137 to Camborne at 1219 will not run because of a problem with a bus. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
The bus was eventually reversed up the street but not before the rails damaged the side of the vehicle as it was pulling out and it had to be taken out of service.
Go Cornwall Bus then Tweeted: "We are sorry to inform that the #GCB38 Helston Town Service from 1245 - 1315 will not run due to an incident. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

Stina Nicholson said in the comments on Packet Facebook page: "Aren’t they supposed to go left from them lights not right for that purpose?!"
To which Gemma Simmons replied: "Yep always been the case."
