One of the main roads into Helston from the Lizard will introduce temporary speed restrictions to traffic for road maintenance work towards the end of July 2023.
At Helston Town Council's latest monthly meeting, Cornwall councillor, Guy Foreman revealed that resurfacing works will start towards the end of July or early August on one of the main roads into Helston from the Lizard and surrounding areas. traffic light control with a convoy system in place.
The whole road past RNAS Culdrose will have speed restrictions with traffic light control and a convoy system in place.
However, an official date is yet to be revealed for the resurfacing works, nor has a time frame of how long the works will take to finish.

With speed restrictions put in place during the day, there may be some traffic disruption around the area particularly during rush hour times in the morning and later in the day.
Throughout June, other essential work has been taken out at Culdrose. The large trees on the perimeter of the base have been cut down for new security fences to be erected.
