THE Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival kicked off today with the first of three days of entertainment drawing huge crowds in the town.

Sponsored by Seasalt Cornwall, The Greenbank Hotel and Sharp’s Brewery as headline sponsors, the festival will take place this weekend from June 16 to 18.

Supported by Falmouth Town Council, the festival also helps raise funds for the RNLI.

The jam-packed weekend has something for everyone, and features over 75 national and international groups performing across 25 venues, from intimate pubs and contemporary bars to open-air stages on historic quaysides.
