The UK’s Armed Forces wowed Falmouth today with a colourful and impressive parade through the centre of the town.
Huge crowds of people came out to watch the spectacle, which was one of the main events on Armed Forces Day.
Cornwall is hosting the national event this year, in Falmouth, and activities have been taking place all day, with many continuing through the evening.
The Military Parade saw more than 1,000 military personnel, veterans and cadets from the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force gathering on The Moor and parading through the town centre to Discovery Quay (Events Square).
En route the Royal Salute was taken, in the Grove Place Car Park. Receiving it was guest of honour for the parade, the late Queen Elizabeth's cousin Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester.
The royal helicopter caused great excitement when it landed in the town beforehand, with many speculating over who could be onboard.
The parade concluded with a flypast from the RAF Red Arrows, A400M, Merlin and Avenger aircraft.

The Red Arrows were then back later in the afternoon as one of the headliners in the air display over Falmouth Bay.
Sadly, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight was unable to take part in the display as scheduled, with the RAF issuing a statement to say that, due to an engine fault being investigated, the Memorial Flight of historic aircraft was being pulled from the commemorations for safety reasons.
