Young players in Helston AFC youth teams have been awarded for their efforts during the 2022/23 season at the club’s annual youth presentation ceremony.
Friends and family were welcomed to the clubhouse on Saturday, June 26 for the awards ceremony.
The ceremony was organised by members of the HAFC committee, with Laura Conway-Norris taking charge of the ceremony décor which included a ‘red carpet’ and a white-blue balloon arch, to represent the club’s colours.
All the young players received a participation medal with individual members of the team receiving trophies for categories such as Top Goal Scorer, Players' Player, Manager’s Player, and an ACE award which is an award for enthusiasm.
A short interval was held during the presentation ceremony, for a raffle and special awards were given out to recognise members of the team.
Tegan Smith received the Youth Chairman Award, Mike Smith was given the Recognition Award for his seven years of service to female sport participation, and Martin Northcutt received the Alan Breasley Volunteer of the Year Award.

Shaun highlights the 'incredible' work of the volunteers. He said: "Here at Helston, we are truly blessed to have so many incredible volunteers who give up so much time to help run this amazing youth section.
"Without the support and dedication of these volunteers, no activity would take place here.
"We are extremely lucky to have so many people who volunteer their time to support the development of young people from Helston and the surrounding areas"
