Four years after opening in Helston a popular coffee shop has become so busy it has now moved into its own space.
Coffee Hut owner Natasha Mossayebi has now revealed plans to develop her businesses, branching out into more events, theme nights and even the potential for mini retreat days.
She said it was an exciting time for the coffee shop and café, affectionately referred to as ‘the hut’, after it opened the doors to its new home in Coinage Ope on Wednesday.
Previously based in the entrance area to Fatty’s Barbers, at the top of Coinagehall Street, it has now moved across the road to the alleyway leading to the Tyacke Road car park.
Natasha said this not only had the advantage of being able to have more seating inside, but also meant she could put a couple of tables and chairs outside also.
It is also just a few steps away from the Sunken Garden area, where many people already take their takeaway food and drinks from the café.
Natasha opened the Coffee Hut in Helston just over four years ago and since then it has grown a loyal following – and it’s not stopped since the launch of the new café.
Natasha said: “Big thanks to my team for adapting and working so hard, and also just a huge thank you to the community of Helston and loyal customers who supported the move, and who have continued to support us since we have moved.
“The cafe has been rammed in our first week and it’s been better than we could have ever hoped!”
After a soft launch on Wednesday, Saturday saw the official opening celebration of the new hut, which featured live music from Willow Midnight Garden.
Natasha said she hoped to have more live music in the future, as well as more evenings and events.
A Persian feast night is on the cards, to reflect Natasha’s Iranian heritage, and she is look at the possibility of mini retreat days and parent and children meet-ups also.
“We are open to suggestions on what people would like to see in the hut going forward, as we want to continue to grow and be here for the community,” she added.
Natasha gave a special thank you to her husband Gareth who she said had “worked day and night” to have the hut ready on time, as well as her mum for looking after their daughter on evenings and weekends to allow the pair time to work on the café together.
