Helston Community Hospital's annual summer fete returned this week after a three-year hiatus.
This was the first time the event had been held since 2019. Due to the covid pandemic, the fete had to be cancelled to follow Government guidelines and the safety of the patients, staff, and their families.
The fete which was organised by the League of Friends was opened by Rev Danny Reed of Central Methodist Church, who praised the staff of the hospital for their ‘wonderful care’ and what an amazing role the hospital plays in the local community.
The tombola stall was run by staff from the hospital was very popular and the bric-a-brac stall had a steady stream of buyers as did the homemade cakes and strawberries and cream.
