FOLLOWING their 4-1 victory away to Bodmin Town last Tuesday, the ‘White Tigers’ made it two wins from two in pre-season with a 2-1 away victory over Exmouth Town on Friday.
Second-half goals from Andrew Neal and Will Dean turned the game around for Truro after a low strike at the near post had given the hosts a half-time lead.
It was an opening 45 minutes shy of any clear-cut chances.
The closest City came to testing the home keeper was when Dan Sullivan hit a low drive straight into his arms just past the 20-minute mark.
Exmouth broke the deadlock on 26 minutes.
The hosts forward had a great run down the left beating two men before firing a low shot through the legs of the defender that beat Trialist A in the City goal to give his side the lead.
They had a chance to double their lead when a low drive went across goal but there was no one there to tap home.
The boss made 9 changes at the break and City were on the front from the off after the interval.
A misplaced kick from the home shot-stopper was latched onto by Neal but the forward’s low strike went narrowly wide of the far bottom corner.
Dan Rooney, who put in an impressive display charged through the midfield and played through Dan Sullivan but he fired over the crossbar.
Truro got their deserved equaliser just past the hour mark. Rooney again involved as he picked out Neal on the edge of the box and the striker did the rest with an emphatic finish into the far top right corner.
Moments later and City completed the turnaround and took the lead.
Will Dean playing against his hometown club released a perfectly placed curling finish into the top right corner to ripple the net again.
Chances for Dan Carne and Neal followed as City continued to dominate the second period.
