Central Methodist Church is hosting a Community Week in Helston with events for all ages.
Still to come is ‘Muddy Church’ between 1pm and 3pm today (Wednesday) starting at the Penrose amenity car park for a walk with woodland crafts, then a family sing-along film at the church at 6.30pm, with popcorn and drinks. There will be prizes for best fancy dress and face painting.
A history event with Rev Danny Reed and Martin Matthews will include a free cream tea at 2.30pm on Thursday, then Ladies’ Night at 7.30pm in the Inn and Still.
Friday sees a tide fight at Perranuthnoe beach from 11am - take a packed lunch, build a castle and see which stays up the longest.
A Tapas and Testimony evening with Paul Jones from Manfred Mann and actress Fiona Hendley will then take place at 7.30pm at the church; tickets are free.
There will be a free breakfast at the church on Saturday from 9am, with the option of joining a short or long walk afterwards.
This will be followed by the main Big Central Evening in the evening with children’s activities at 6pm, entertainment from 7pm with Helston Town Band, Odds and Sods, and Epworth Musicians, and a hog roast (cost involved) at 7.30pm.

Café Church is on Sunday at 10.45am with a free pasty and pudding lunch, and youth curry night in the evening – contact Sarah or Thomas Reed on 07793 495024.
