One of the UK’s best known radio presenters is bringing his '90s Hangover' show to Cornwall next month.
Former Radio 1 and current Radio X DJ Chris Moyles will play some of the biggest hits from the 1990s in his 90s Hangover show, including songs by Britney Spears and the Spice Girls, and dance classics such as ‘Dreamer’ by Livin’ Joy, at The Watering Hole, Perranporth Beach on September 16.
Chris says he is “excited” to be returning to Cornwall and is looking forward to being able to enjoy what the Duchy has to offer.

The Packet spoke with Chris about his thoughts on Cornwall, what people can expect from his 90s Hangover set - and of course what he thinks of a Cornish pasty.
Hi Chris, how do you feel about returning to Cornwall?
“I literally cannot wait; it’s going to be so fun. I am not there enough, so I am so excited. I have never been to Perranporth, but it must be nice if it’s got its own airport.
“Fingers crossed it’s going to be a wicked night.”
What is your favourite thing about Cornwall?
“I love the fact that it is nowhere near like London. London is brilliant, but it is busy and polluted. I did a set from a closed hotel in Newquay during one of the lockdowns, and it overlooked the beach, and it was just the best time.
“I am looking forward to making a day and even a weekend of it, and not having to rush off.”
When you come here to DJ, what kind of music gets Cornish people up and dancing?
“Usually rock, but I am hoping for cheesy pop music, like sing-along stuff, will get die-hard Cornish blokes up and dancing.”
Have you ever had a Cornish pasty and what do you think?
“Well, I taught myself to cook a few years ago and started off learning from a Jamie Oliver book. I did a few easy recipes such as chilli and curries and things like that, but I eventually got around to making my own Cornish pasty. Although it didn’t look good - it looked like some kind of processed food - it did taste very good.”
What can people expect from the show?
“It’s going to be a fun night, and I hope that people will come out and enjoy the music and have a great time!
"There is going to be a wide range of hits from Britney to the Spice Girls, Oasis, and dance music. There will be something for everyone in the set, and it will be a fantastic night!”
The 90s Hangover set takes place at Watering Hole on September 16 at 6pm. Tickets are available to buy at https://www.tickettailor.com/events/bandsinthesands/813039/
