COASTGUARDS were called to a Cornish beach this week to help assist the RNLI with first aid to an unwell man.

Mullion Coastguards were paged at 12.30pm yesterday (Tuesday) to reports of a collapsed male who was in and out of consciousness at Gunwalloe Beach, Mullion.

Once on the scene, the coastguards made contact with the RNLI who had raised the alarm and helped to administer first aid to the man until an ambulance arrived.

The man was then stretchered across the beach to the ambulance and taken to hospital for further observation.
