Plans have been lodged for the conversion of Treverva Methodist Church into a family home.
The chapel, between Falmouth and Constantine, was previously granted consent for a similar scheme in January 2016. However, that consent has expired.
The chapel is currently redundant and no longer used by the Lizard and Mounts Bay Methodist Circuit. It closed in 2012 and sold to a private owner in 2023.
The Chapel is Grade II listed as of 1988 and was built in 1889.
The applicants, named as a Mr and Mrs Rowe, are said to have previously lived in the Falmouth area and have young children who attend local schools. Their aim is to sympathetically convert the chapel into a family home.
The proposed works involve the conversion of Treverva Chapel into a single residential unit with four bedrooms.

Documents accompanying the planning application to Cornwall Council state: "The objective of this application is to bring the building back into use and convert it into a large residential unit.
"It is essential that as much of the character and style of the building as possible is maintained and it is proposed that, with the exception of a new doorway, and two reinstated blocked windows to the south, the external envelope will not be changed.
"Internally it is important not to affect too much of the character of the building."
It also states that the applicants have purchased a small portion of the adjacent field to provide parking and amenity space, as the main chapel footprint is on the main road with no off road parking currently.
With regards to the closure of the chapel, it says: "The decision was discussed at length within the democratic process that the Methodist Church uses to evaluate and make decisions of this nature.
"The congregation is very small in the village and there are neighbouring Chapels in surrounding villages.
"There was significant financial and management strain on the local team and it was not feasible to continue running the chapel.
"The organ, rostrum and pews were removed prior to the current owner purchasing the Chapel by the circuit."
