Carnival night came to Budock Water over the weekend when colourful characters gathered for the annual event.
The August weather relented sufficiently for Budock Carnival entrants to meet up for judging in Budock Village Playing Field.
The Bedrock Water group, depicting characters from The Flintstones, was presented with the Trelowarren Arms Carnival Shield.
Other outfits on display included a range of superheroes, ‘England Young Lions’ and a circus group.
After prize-giving, the procession formed up to parade through the village, led by Falmouth Marine Band. Locals and villagers lined the route lending cheerful support as the procession made its way up and back though the village.
The procession finished at the Trelowarren Arms for a few songs from the Marine Band, followed by refreshments and a barbecue.
The event was well supported, keeping community alive in Budock Water.
