THIS week's Step Back in Time feature is carrying on our collection from the summer 1976, with a couple of earlier ones from 1975.
They all celebrate a community of all ages that was engaged in a hugely diverse range of activities, all of which reassuringly continue in some form today.
Included in this week's selection are:
- Red Cross shopping for the disabled, c. 1975
- Penryn WI tea for the visually impaired, c. 1975
- The One and All Choir, c. summer 1976
- The Falmouth School of Art panto, c. summer 1976
- Mr MK Powell, £25 winner of the Falmouth Penryn Lions Club ‘Spot the Ball’ competition, c. summer 1976
- Penryn vs St Lukes rugby, c. summer 1976
- The Red Lion Eucre Marathon, c. summer 1976
- Carnival Queens outside the Red Lion, Mawnan Smith, August 1976
