As four-year-olds across Cornwall begin school for the first time, here's a look back at some of the fresh-faced youngsters beginning their primary education almost 20 years ago.
This week, children across the Duchy waved goodbye to their parents and entered their new reception classes for the first time in their lives.
The Packet has now delved deep into its archives to find pictures of children starting their primary school journey almost 20 years ago.
The photos were taken in September 2004 and there have been some changes since then - not least to the names of some of the schools, with Beacon Primary becoming Falmouth Primary Academy, and many other schools joining multi-academy trusts in the years since.
The children featured would now be 23 years old and the majority have left education altogether - but here their school days stretched out before them.
We have pictures of pupils from schools in Falmouth, Helston, Porthleven and many of the surrounding villages for you to look through in the gallery at the top of the page.
Can you spot yourself or anyone you know?
