A MEMBER of the Royal family has arrived in Cornwall to visit an award-winning coffee roastery and to open a new packing centre in Truro.
Princess Anne arrived in Porthleven on Wednesday afternoon to visit Origin Coffee at The Roastery on Treysa Place.
The arrival of The Princess Royal has been shared in a Facebook post by a local woman. Lynda Dawson who was at Porthleven Football Club when the helicopter landed said: “Princess Anne has just arrived on Porthleven Football field.
“She looked lovely.”

Origin Coffee was established by chief executive Tom Sobey in 2005 and in 2022 along with two other businesses in Cornwall was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.
Last year Origin roasted 264 tonnes of coffee, spending more than £1.6million with coffee producers in Brazil, Colombia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, and Peru, with whom it has long term and direct
In 2021, Origin moved into its purpose-built ‘hub’ in Porthleven from its former base in Helston. The building includes a contemporary workspace, coffee shop, training facility, and an external area that will host a series of events and pop-ups for all to enjoy at the weekend.
As well as The Princess Royal’s visit to Origin, she will also visit St Ewe Farm Free Range Eggs Grampound Road in Truro to open its new packing centre.
