DOG lovers are invited to a special Halloween-themed costume event in Falmouth this half term.

On Sunday, October 29 owners are being encouraged to dress their dogs in their most spooky Halloween costume for a parade along Castle Beach.

The affectionately named ‘Howlaween’ Parade is being hosted by Castle Beach Café and will take place at 1pm.

The parade will take place alongside other family-friendly activities on the day including Wookie’s Cookie’s Fortune Telling Booth.

Victoria Pombeiro, Pawprints to Freedom’s social media and fundraising officer said: “Dogs in costumes, having fun on the beach – what a great way to end half term.

“We are very grateful to Castle Beach Café for hosting and judging the parade – we’re expecting some stiff competition, so it won’t be an easy task!”

The Howl-aween Parade will end a week of half-term fun at the café, including children’s activities, photo booth opportunities and special Halloween treats.

Pawprints to Freedom primarily operates within Romania, where the charity operates a public shelter that saves dogs from emergency situations, along with a shelter in Cheshire, UK.
