THE organisers of one of Cornwall’s biggest Firework displays has revealed the date of this year’s event.
On Sunday, November 5 Heartlands will be kicking off the event at 4pm, with the firework display starting from 8pm.
Chair trustee of Heartlands Trust David Sillifant said: “We are ecstatic to announce the return of this beloved community event.
“It means so much to our residents.”
However, this year’s event was nearly forced to be cancelled due to ‘financial constraints’, David explains: “We were almost forced to cancel this cherished tradition due to financial constraints.
"But thanks to the unwavering support of our community, including Cornish Metals, South Crofty Mine, Phoneta, The Countryman Inn and several other businesses, we are thrilled to announce that the Heartlands Community Fireworks Extravaganza is officially a GO!
“Their generosity has played a pivotal role in ensuring that this beloved event continues to bring joy to the hearts of our community.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our sponsors for their commitment to preserving this cherished tradition.”
To be able to continue organising the displays in the future, Heartlands has set up a fundraising page with a goal of £3,000. David adds: “Every contribution, no matter how small, will help us in reaching this target.
“We kindly urge all attendees to consider donating a minimum of £3 per adult to help us sustain this vital community celebration.”
