Once again, skies in Cornwall will light up full of pretty colours this week, as Bonfire Night returns.

Throughout this week, there will be plenty of firework displays taking place across the Duchy – weather depending of course.

It’s an ideal time to gather family and friends, wrap and warm and watch the display safely from down below.

Here are some of the Bonfire Night celebrations taking place across Cornwall this year:

Truro

Truro City Council has announced that its annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display at Tremorvah Playing Field will return on Friday, November 3. 

Gates will open at 5pm and the bonfire will be lit at 6.30. Fireworks are expected to begin between 6.45pm and 7pm.

Entry is charged at £3 per adult and £1 per child under the age of 16.

Money raised will go to Cornwall Air Ambulance and CHBN Radio.

There will also be refreshments available to purchase on-site.

Falmouth

Falmouth Firefighters Social and Welfare Club, and members of Falmouth Cricket Club will be hosting this year’s event at Falmouth Cricket Ground, Trescobeas Road. Gates open at 6pm for a 7pm start.

Chaos Radio will be providing the entertainment and attendees can enjoy a burger, jacket potato, hog roast or a doughnut amongst other refreshments. There will also be a children’s fairground ride.

Entry is £5 for adults and £2.50 for children; children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Cash only.

Stithians

Stithians Cricket Club will be providing burgers and hotdogs at its fireworks display this Friday (November 3).

Entry is free, however, a donation would be grateful appreciated.

Pool

Heartlands will host its annual Firework Extravaganza and entertainment on Sunday, November 5 from 4pm onwards.

There will be entertainment for all ages, food, and plenty to see and do before the fireworks are set off at around 8pm.

Newquay

Newquay Sports Centre will host its fireworks display on Saturday, November 4. As well as fireworks, there will also be entertainment including six bars, more than five food vendors, an inflatable fun fair, a 30ft cinema screen, a DJ, an after party, a massive marquee and a beer festival during the day.

Tickets are £2.50 and children can enter the event for free.

Wendron

Wendron Cricket Club will host its bonfire and firework display on Sunday, November 5. The gates will be open from 5.30pm and the bonfire will be lit at 6pm. The fireworks will start from 6.30pm.

The kitchen and bar will be open selling hot and cold refreshments, and there will be a specified area for sparklers at the front of the clubhouse.

The entry will be £4 for adults and £1 for children. Cash or a card is available.

St Keverne

The Three Tuns will continue with its annual firework display from 5.30pm on Saturday, November 4.

Food will be available throughout the night, and music from The Roosters will keep the party going from 9pm.

Entry fees are Adults £4, children under the age of 18 £2 and for a family of four (two adults and two children) it will be £10.

Ruan Minor

There will be plenty of entertainment on Ruan Minor’s Recreation Grounds on Saturday, November 4 as it hosts its annual firework display.

Gates will open at 5pm and the fireworks will be lit around 7pm.

As well as this there will also be a bar, burgers and hot dogs, mulled wine, toffee apples, cakes and more. There will also be glow sticks for sale.

The Lizard

On Friday, November 3 there will be a firework display taking place on the Lizard Recreation Ground. Gates will open at 6pm and fireworks will be lit from 7pm.

Guests are asked to park in the village, and entry is free, but donations are welcome.

Manaccan

Helston and St. Keverne Young Farmers Club is inviting members of the public to join them at their firework and bonfire event on Thursday, November 2 at Higher Trenower Farm, Manaccan.

There will be a BBQ and the bar will also be open. Fireworks will be set off around 8pm.

Bodmin

On Sunday, November 5 fireworks will light up the skies at Priory Park in Bodmin. 

Gates will open from 5pm, with the bonfire being lit at 7pm. 

There will be rides for the children and hotdogs served throughout the evening.
