The Boots store in Falmouth was closed on Thursday after winds caused by Storm Ciaran damaged the outside of the building.
Pictures taken early on Thursdsay morning by Dan Mark Matthews show the store on Market Street with the store signs ripped off the front of the building by the wind.
Tape was put across the entrance and its doors were closed with the grating across. Calls to the store went unanswered. The company has been contacted for an update.
Posting the picture on Facebook, Dan Mark Matthews said: “Please be careful this is Boots in Falmouth this is how strong the wind is.”
It has been confirmed the store has since reopened.
Meanwhile 9,000 homes across Cornwall wereleft without power following Storm Ciaran on Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

The National Grid says its teams are continuing to work as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to customers affected by Storm Ciarán.

“Currently, 9,000 properties are experiencing power cuts in the South West of our region, with Cornwall worst affected. Call 105 to report a power cut,” they said.
Elsewhere a group of students are looking for somewhere else to stay after the roof was ripped off their home in Waterloo Road, Falmouth in the early hours of this morning.
One of the students was woken by debris falling on her as she slept.
