Traffic is starting to clear in Penryn this morning following an earlier crash – with the road now reopened.
Police were called to The Praze at 9.12am, after a collision between a car and a motorbike.
A number of police cars and an ambulance could be seen, near to the garage.
The road was closed for just under two hours, while emergency services worked at the scene and gave medical attention.
A force incident manager from Devon and Cornwall Police told the Packet that the motorcyclist was on their way to hospital for an x-ray on an injury sustained.
It is understood that the injury was not life-threatening or life-changing.
The Praze was closed in both directions, but reopened just before 11am.
The force incident manager said officers would be “grateful for information” about the collision.
Anyone who saw what happened can call 101 or make contact via the Devon and Cornwall Police website, using reference 212 of today’s date, November 4, 2023.
Traffic monitoring system INRIX was reporting heavy traffic in the surrounding areas earlier.
It said: “The Praze both ways closed, slow traffic due to accident between Church Road and Durgan Lane.”
