Cornwall Council has put out a reminder to drivers that the A30 will be closed between Scorrier and Boxheater this Weekend.
There will be a weekend closure of the A30 between Scorrier and Boxheater from this evening (Friday, November 17) at 8pm until Monday, November 20 at 6am.
This closure is for drainage work between Scorrier and Chiverton, carriageway widening near Tolgroggan bridge in readiness for a traffic realignment in December, and earthworks around Marazanvose.
Most traffic will be diverted along the B3285, A3075 and the B3277, with a longer diversion for high sided vehicles. You can view the diversion routes here.
Cornwall Council is advising people to please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey during these closures.
“We are still working towards opening part of the flyover at Chiverton before the end of the year. However, the overall programme and installation of the pedestrian bridge at this location may impact on this. We will provide an update prior to the next weekend closure,” said the council.
Overnight closures of the A30 between Scorrier and Boxheater will also take place over the weekend of December 4-8.
These closures are subject to change, and the Packet will post full details in due course once confirmed.
