The CEO and owner of Origin Coffee said he and his team are “honoured” after being named the best in Europe at a prestigious coffee award.

Origin Coffee has been awarded as Best Speciality Coffee Roaster in Europe at the European Coffee Symposium ceremony which was held in Barcelona this week.

As one of the longest-standing independent coffee roasters in the UK, Origin has built a reputation on quality, honesty and integrity holding themselves accountable for doing better and actively seeking out relationships where the common goal is the same.

“We are proud to see how far Origin Coffee – and in fact, the speciality coffee industry has come over the last 20 years.

The prestigious coffee awards recognise and promote both companies and individuals excelling in the European coffee and hospitality industry.

This award comes after Origin’s coffee shop on Porthleven’s Harbour Head was named one of the best in the UK by The Times in September this year.  

Last year Origin was recognised by the late Queen Elizabeth II as being among the best in the UK with the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.
