A LUXURY spa on the Lizard Peninsula is one of only 140 in the UK to be recognised with a prestigious national award.
Mullion Cove Hotel and Spa was recently presented with an AA-recommended Spa Award, and was one of only a handful of spas across the UK to be recognised as such.
According to the award, hotels with an AA Recommended UK Spa award represent quality and care, with high standards in customer care and cleanliness. They provide high quality spas, ensuring guests can indulge in a world of rejuvenation and luxury.
AA Recommended UK Spasare described as boasting diverse treatments and tranquil atmospheres. Guests can immerse themselves in "a haven of well-being, where every aspect reflects a commitment to high standards in spa hospitality."
In their report on the spa, AA inspectors said: "Mullion Cove Hotel was built at the turn of the last century and is set high above the working harbour of Mullion, giving it spectacular views of the rugged coastline; seaward facing rooms are always popular.
"The elegant restaurant offers some carefully prepared dishes using local produce, while an alternative option is to eat less formally in the stylish bistro. After dinner, guests might like to relax in one of the charming lounges."
Mullion Cove General Manager, Daniel Thompson, said: "I am delighted that the Kirstie and her team in the Mullion Cove spa have been recognised by the AA for their wonderful customer care and dedication to offering an excellent experience for our hotel guests, local day visitors and club members.
"Last year the team were awarded Silver at the Cornwall Tourism Awards so being recognised the AA is a fantastic achievement that the whole Team."
In a statement published on its social media page, Mullion Cove Hotel and Spa said: "Our Spa Manager Kirstie and her team are delighted to have been awarded the AA recommended Spa Award.
"It is a real recognition to the hard work and dedication to customer service that the whole spa pour into Mullion Cove Spa!"
